Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendations and all votes on final reading will be recorded as reflected on first reading unless otherwise indicated. Public comment will be accepted on items, with the exception of those items on which a public hearing has been held and closed by Council.

    1. Authorizing the execution of an annual contract for reproduction and printing paper for the Support Services Department with Western Paper Company, Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas in the amount of $126,287.27
    2. Authorizing the execution of a contract for the Water and Sanitary Sewer Line Renewal Project No. WR02-030 with Gra-Tex Utilities, Inc. of Kennedale, Texas in the amount of $679,019.97
    3. Authorizing the execution of a contract for the Water and Sanitary Sewer Renewal Project No. SR02-037 with Patco Utilities, Inc. of Grand Prairie, Texas in the amount of $870,190

    3. Authorizing the exercise of the first of four one-year renewal options in the contract with GST Public Safety Supply for the supply of uniforms for the Fire Department
    4. Authorizing the exercise of the first of three one-year renewal options in the contract with Western Highway Products, Inc. for the supply of breakaway sign posts for the Public Works Department
    5. Authorizing the exercise of the first of three one-year renewal options in the contract with Dantack Corporation for the supply of safety supplies for the Parks and Recreation Department and other city departments
    6. Authorizing the exercise of the first of two one-year renewal options in the contract with Casco Industries, Inc. for the supply of fire hoses for the Fire Department
    7. Authorizing the refund of funds placed in escrow by Mary H. Burke relative to future construction costs of Willow Oak Lane adjacent to Lot 18, W. W. Warnell West Addition
    8. Authorizing an increase in the rental rate in accordance with the terms of the lease agreement with Trinity River Authority for property at the Arlington Municipal Airport
    9. Authorizing the submission and acceptance of a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation for funding assistance relative to additional occupant protection and speed enforcement during selected holiday periods and authorizing the execution of documents relative to the submission and later acceptance of such grant
    10. Authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with ChoicePoint Business and Government Services relative to online information services
    11. Recognizing the Vietnamese Heritage and Freedom Flag as the official symbol of Arlington’s Vietnamese-American community

Amending the "Sexually Oriented Business" Chapter of the Code of the City of Arlington, Texas, 1987, through the amendment of Article I, Purpose and Intent, Section 1.03, Findings, relative to the addition of cases and studies; through the amendment of Article VI, Miscellaneous, Section 6.03, Additional Regulations Concerning Public Nudity, Subsection (B), relative to clarification of materials to be used to satisfy the requirements of an "enclosed performance stage"; providing this ordinance be cumulative; providing for severability; providing for governmental immunity; providing for publication and becoming effective ten days after first publication
      2. Amending the "Administration" Chapter of the Code of the City of Arlington, Texas, 1987, through the amendment of Article III, entitled Boards, Commissions and Departments, by the suspension of Section 3.05, Youth and Families Board, and Section 3.06, Arts Advisory Board; providing this ordinance be cumulative; providing for severability; providing for governmental immunity; providing for injunctions; providing for publication and becoming effective ten days after first publication
